Since bands like Blink 182 and Sum 41 have been very successful, pop-punk is a well know word. Punkrock has arrived to the new millenium. Though there is a traditional connection between ska music and punkrock since the 80Ôs, there have been few attempts to give ska music a more modern, contemporary note, to finish itŐs existence only as scene music. This is what PLOWKING consider as their challenge. The eight musicians amazingly know how to combine classic ska offbeats with catchy pop mellodies and punkrock riffs, to create an extremly catchy, danceable sound. The band now exists since 1997, but their passion for ska music they first discovered in 2000. Along with ska music, there came success. There followed a large number of gigs in clubs and on festivals. The band has already been on stage with well known german acts, such as SEEED, The Flames, Mia, Liquido, Jan Delay, Nina MC, Mc Ren, The Frank Pop Ensemble, My Balloon and Mellow Mark. During this time, the band recorded two demo records and a low budget video. Besides the band had several appearances on v.a. compilations. At the end of 2003 PLOWKING have been in studio to record their first longplayer, which will probably be released in summer 2004.
